About Me and This Blog

My name is Isaac. I have a wonderful wife and a two-year old son. I live in Indiana. I've been climbing for nearly ten years. I'm not the best out there, and I'll never be a professional climber. But I do know a lot about climbing, the climbing industry, and climbing gear. I am the general manager for Hoosier Heights Indoor Climbing gyms. I earned an American Mountain Guides Association Single Pitch Instructor certification and guide commercial climbing trips. I develop routes in the Red River Gorge, and am an active part of its community. I invented the Wave Bolt.

This blog is for the average, every day climber. Although it's exciting to keep up on, most of us don't get much useful info from reading the most recent over-psyched report of Mr. Pro Bro Climber's ultra-epic project route or training routine. So hopefully I can provide some helpful info, thoughts, opinions, and gear reviews for the rest of us.

Feel free to leave comments, ask questions, or suggest a topic or gear review. I'd like this to be interactive.

Finally, please help spread the word and Like, share, tweet, or be old-school and just tell someone about this blog.
